Who we are
Surrounded By Sea is a photographic competition and exhibition run by Refugee Rescue and MoChara Art Collective. The proceeds from the competition will help Refugee Rescue acquire a new rescue vessel following the retirement of their Search and Rescue boat, MoChara.
Each year, thousands of people, including children, drown in the Mediterranean Sea while fleeing violence, war, and persecution. Our retired rescue vessel, MoChara, has rescued over 25,000 lives, but without a replacement, we cannot continue these critical missions.
By entering this competition you will help fund a new rescue vessel to save lives at sea.
